Nathan Richie is the founder and President of NR Creative Group in Charlotte, North Carolina, a creative marketing firm that helps companies and individuals expand their growth opportunities using a breadth of advertising, exhibit, branding, and social media strategies.
For more than 18 years, he’s provided effective solutions to a broad range of local, regional and national companies on a project or contract basis. These include both B2B and B2C; manufacturers, service, auto, sports, media, not-for-profit and government organizations.
An ardent lover of music teamed with a radio journey that started at age 16, Richie credits the fast paced radio industry for initially developing his promotions and marketing acumen. Over the course of his broadcasting career, he’s been effective serving in key roles; on-air, producer, sales, and promotions.
Richie currently produces and anchors the popular podcast, “The Marketing Squad” on RadioExiles.com (available on iTunes), along with a couple of his industry friends. Twice a month, they gather on-air and take aim at the who’s, the what’s and the why’s of the worlds of social media, marketing and PR…and then some.
Richie is well-known cheerleader for the Social Media explosion seen these past few years; it’s marketing potential for brands, the level of engagement it allows with audiences and the parallels it shares with the broadcasting industry. He’s the past (2010) President & Chairman for the Charlotte chapter of the Social Media Breakfast and SocialMediaCharlotte.com. The monthly breakfast get together brings social media experts, marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new-media fanatics, and online social networkers together to eat, meet, share, and learn.
He serves on the Program Advisory Committee of the Carolina School of Broadcasting where he is a Speaker/Guest Instructor of Programming, Communications and the New Media course that he recently overhauled for the school.
